New shoes cure the blues….My motto whenever I’m feeling down (which is hardly ever but it’s better to have them there in case I do). Hence, my most recent purchase.
Gucci Princetown Mules: the perfect twist on their classic and extremely comfortable loafers. Yes the pricetag was above what I would have wanted it to be but then I thought, “Buy the shoes, no use being the richest bitch in the cemetery…” I swear though, that the cost per wear will be so low given I can’t seem to take them off. Don’t know what that is? Read here http://www.gq.com/story/cost-per-wear-magic
Of course I couldn’t just buy black, besides they were on back order until November. So, I chose my next favourite colour. I mean, Life is too short to wear boring shoes… Yes I get stares but people will stare regardless so give them a reason to.
The motto of the tale is – You can’t buy happiness but you can buy shoes and that’s the same thing…
P.s. Quotes were taken from google…C’mon I’m that clever but people have been swooning over shoes long before I was born.
Summer doesn’t make it easy to layer the way I would like to, especially summer in Miami. Thank God there are options for those like me. First, you can opt to not wear a bra, just kidding! Not really though. That is one less layer if you seriously consider. This, however, may come easier to those, who let’s say don’t get excited about Victoria’s Secret bra sales. Take that layer away and you can add something in its place, a scarf for example. This one in particular has always done the job, season after season, year after year. Always choose light colors, light fabrics and loose fits. Shorts are always the best option, but if you prefer longer lengths refer to the aforementioned recommendation. And yes, since this is not an essay it always gets tough when choosing a closing statement. What more can I say,? Hope you guys are having an amazing week! And, Stay Tuned… XO

So those who are fans of Rap Music may be familiar with my latest blog title. However, the ‘C’ in this case stands for Chanel, duh. Chanel Rules Everything Around Me. Oh for this to be true! The right accents, though, like this fab brooch (borrowed from my sister) can make the world of a difference on this simple yet chic white on ‘cream’ palette. And yes I live in these very distressed boyfriend jeans and I will keep living in them until they give in. Hopefully that day never comes. What is coming though is the weekend, so here’s to a fab and safe one!

Mondays don’t always have to be so bad. I take Mondays like a clean slate, a start to a fresh new week. Anything can be written; all the space is there and it’s all yours to make the most of it. The only type of “Monday Blues” I’ll allow myself to have are the ones that come in the form of sheer, beaded cardigans, like this one I found recently in H&M for half price! I contemplated as I always do when it’s an unexpected find, as I consider myself to be more of a strategic shopper. I look for specific things I list beforehand and tend to stick to that list. But, and yes there’s always an exception, when you stumble upon a great find like this one…it’s hard to say no. So I didn’t. And here I am writing. Here’s to having the same type of “Monday Blues” as mine!

Since there was a recent temperature drop in SoFlo I seized the opportunity to layer and throw on whatever I could to stay cozy. By temperature drop I refer to something in the low 50’s, Fahrenheit that is, so I couldn’t get too crazy; hence, the sandals and sleeveless sweater. Thankfully it came just in time for Thanksgiving when it was much needed and more so appreciated. Since then it’s been raining on and off which doesn’t make for good photo ops but like I always say…
Stay Tuned! XO
